Flora and the Brave Mountain Rescue
Flora, a brave little girl with sparkling brown eyes and pigtails that bounced, loved exploring the tall, green mountains near her home. The air was fresh and smelled of pine needles, and the sun shone brightly on the winding paths she knew so well. Today, she was meeting her friend, Leo, at their favorite spot, a rocky outcrop with the best view in the whole wide world.
Leo was already there, trying to climb a small, sturdy rock that looked like a giant stepping stone. "Look, Flora!" he called out, balancing carefully with arms outstretched. But then, his foot slipped! With a surprised gasp, Leo tumbled down, landing with a soft thump on the grass below.
Flora's heart thumped a little faster as she saw Leo clutch his knee. "Oh no! My knee!" he cried, and Flora could see a bright red scrape blooming on his leg. She could have just stood there, surprised, but Flora was brave, so very brave, and she knew what she had to do.
Without a second's hesitation, Flora sprinted over to Leo, her pigtails bouncing with every step. "Are you okay, Leo? What hurts?" she asked, her voice steady and kind, even though she felt a little worried. She knelt beside him, gently taking his hand and looking closely at his scraped knee.
Leo sniffled. "It stings!" Flora quickly opened her small backpack. "Don't worry, Leo. I have a magic bandage, just for brave explorers like you!" she said, pulling out a colorful superhero plaster. Gently, she dabbed his knee clean with a soft leaf and carefully put on the bandage. Leo looked at it, then at Flora, and a small smile appeared. "It feels much better already, Flora. Thank you!"
Flora gave him a warm hug. "Helping friends makes everything better," she said, squeezing his hand. They sat for a moment, enjoying the fresh mountain breeze, then decided to explore a gentler, flatter path. Flora felt so proud. She was a brave girl, and a very, very good friend. And Leo, with his superhero bandage, felt brave too, all thanks to Flora.
