Flora and the Morning Carrot
Flora lived in a bright, sunny house with her best friend, a fluffy white bunny named Pip. Every morning, the sun would peek through the curtains and wake them both up for their morning snack. Flora loved how soft Pip felt, just like a little cloud hopping across the soft bedroom carpet.
One Saturday, Flora got a brand new box of colorful markers. She was so to draw a garden of rainbows that she completely forgot about Pipās breakfast. The markers made a soft clicking sound as she swapped colors, and she didn't hear the tiny of Pipās nose twitching against his empty ceramic bowl.
Suddenly, her mother walked in and asked if Pip had eaten yet. Flora looked at her bunny and felt a little seeing him waiting so patiently. "I'm so sorry, Pip!" she said, dropping her markers to rush to the kitchen. Being kind meant making sure her friend wasn't hungry just because she was busy.
She carefully filled his bowl with crunchy greens and fresh water. Pip did a little happy wiggle as he started to munch! Flora realized that remembering wasn't just a chore; it was a way to show Pip how much she loved him. She decided to draw a big carrot to hang on her door as a reminder.
The next morning, when the sun peeked in, Flora saw her carrot drawing and herself by jumping right out of bed! She fed Pip all by herself, feeling very grown-up and proud. "Good morning, Pip," she whispered, as they started their happy day together.
